Reports started trickling in that Apple’s UK website said iOS 4.1 would be released on Wednesday, September 8. Soon after initial reports began circling, the website now shows the “Coming Soon” message, as do the US and French websites.
The Apple iOS 4.1 is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, bare in mind that the multi-tasking feature doesn’t work on the iPhone 3G. It’s also compatible with the 2G-, 3G- and 4G iPod Touch.
The new OS will bring Game Centre, iTunes Ping, HDR photography and more to users.
